On Monday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Alderson Quilt Guild sponsors a day to sit and sew at the United Methodist Church in Lewisburg. In September, we will have three options: sew by hand, bring your machine for sewing or take a Make your own Clothing or T-Shirt Quilt class.
This event offers a great way to finish projects with friends and fellow quilters. Clothing or T-Shirt Quilts are a great way to celebrate, remember, or say “thank you.” They are easy to construct and give the recipient fond memories of past good times. Nice for grads, sports fans, Christmas gifts and anyone who just can’t get rid of those old clothes or T-shirts. Anyone who sews, or wants to learn can enjoy making this wonderful memory quilt!
The T-shirt Class will include a supply list and instructions on how to prepare, layout and sew your T-shirt quilt. The cost is $20 per person.
Bring your unfinished projects or prepare to try something new, we guarantee a great time for all. Food and refreshments will not be provided, so bring your own. We will be in the heart of downtown Lewisburg where there are many local restaurants and cafés.
Space is limited for sewing and the T-shirt Class. To sign up early or request additional information, contact Anne Hatchett at annehatchett@yahoo.com. For Guild information, please contact Lucinda Ward at ward196@msn.com.
