An Alderson man is in intensive care after being hit by a motorcycle. Levi Livesay is currently in serious but stable condition at Charleston Area Medical Center following the Tuesday afternoon accident.

According to police reports, Livesay was struck by the motorcycle whose rider lost control at the intersection of Rt. 63 and the Fort Spring Pike. Livesay was standing on the shoulder of the road, checking on his vehicle, when he was hit. Reports indicate the motorcycle driver lost control of the bike after hitting gravel.

Alderson and Tri-County fire departments, Alderson EMS and Fairlea EMS responded to the accident scene. Livesay was transported via helicopter to CAMC with trauma to his liver, kidney and lung along with broken ribs. The accident is being investigated by W.K. Nester of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department.

A GoFundMe account has been created for Livesay’s family at GoFundMe.com/tz8buk. People may contribute money to help provide this family a place to stay, food, gas and telephone phone money so that they can be by Livesay’s side.

Donations can also be made at City National Bank.
