Alderson Jingle Bell Fun Fest

The Alderson 4th of July Committee is proud to present the 2nd Annual Alderson Jingle Bell Fun Fest. The event is a fundraiser for the fantastic Alderson 4th of July Celebration.

The Jingle Bell Fun Fest is on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at the Alderson Community Center. The Jingle Bell Fun Fest will be the first of its kind in the Greenbrier Valley with a schedule of events that has something for everyone. In addition to the great events listed below, you will find:

• Vendors and Crafters

• Pictures with Santa

• Letters to Santa/Crafts for children

• Balloon Artist

• Raffles

• And more things to be added!

Kicking off the holiday fun will be a special treat for young and old with a “Breakfast with Santa” from 8 to 11 a.m. The breakfast will include pancakes, sausage and beverages. Breakfast is pay-at-the-door and $5 a plate. Santa will be arriving from the North Pole just in time for this special breakfast! Photo opportunities will be available.

Get your bells on! The Greenbrier Valley’s 2nd Annual Jingle Bell Run and Walk will step off at 10 a.m. on Dec. 13, at the Alderson Community Center. The Jingle Bell Run and Walk is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season and help the community. The event is a 5K Run and Walk through Alderson. Each participant will receive a keepsake ornament and a jingle bell necklace. There is a $15 entry fee per person before Dec. 1 or $20 entry fee per person after Dec. 1. Entry forms and online registration is available at www.TriStateRacer.com. You can also email alderson4th@gmail.com for an entry form. Registration will also be available on Dec. 13 at the Alderson Community Center from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. More information and forms are available on the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/alderson4th.

Prizes will be awarded to the top male and top female runners in each age group and the Overall Fastest Male and Overall Fastest Female. Age groups are as follows: 10 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over. Prizes will also be awarded in various fun and unique categories such as: Most Holiday Spirit, Most Original Costume, Frosty, Best Duo/Group, Buddy the Elf and more. Prizes will be announced at 12 noon in the community center.

All booths are on a first come, first served basis. Pre-Registration and payment is required. Booths are filling up fast.

The Alderson 4th of July Celebration is West Virginia’s Largest 4th of July Celebration. The festival was also named West Virginia’s Best 4th of July Fireworks Presentation by WV Living Magazine.
