Lewisburg-Alan Dale Whitcomb, 20, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following an extended illness.
Alan was born Feb. 22, 1993, at Greenbrier Valley Hospital in Ronceverte, and was the son of Rob and Julie Baker Whitcomb.
He was a graduate of Greenbrier East High School in Fairlea.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Roland Whitcomb and maternal grandfather, Roy Miller.
Surviving Alan are: his parents, Rob and Julie Whitcomb of Lewisburg; sister, Brandy Hambrick Johnson (Robert) of Lewisburg; maternal grandmother, Frances Miller of Lewisburg; paternal grandmother, Barbara Johnson Whitcomb of Fairlea; aunts and uncles, Connie and Gary Pyne of Fairlea, Kim and Barry Boone of Ronceverte, Scottie and Shaina Miller of Lewisburg, Penny Hinkley of Lewisburg, David Hinkley of Lewisburg and Rick Baker of Lewisburg; cousins, Heather, Amanda, Brent, Abbie, Brandon, Justin, Kayla, Richard, Jamie, Kelly and Kendra.
Funeral services for Alan will be on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Rev. Everett “Hat” Defibaugh officiating.
Interment will follow in Community Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery on Brush Road in Lewisburg.
The family will receive their family and friends Friday, Nov. 29 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
