Aileen McCarty Shelton Vass

    Lewisburg-Aileen McCarty Shelton Vass, 75, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Born Dec. 15, 1944, at Slaty Fork, she was a daughter of the late James Dorman and Evva Belle Hannah Shelton.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Allen Vass; and sisters, Regina Rhea, and twin, Allie Cook.

Survivors include sons, Ed Vass, Jr. and wife Linda of Ronceverte, Jamie Vass and wife Robyn of Woodbridge, VA, and Doug Vass and wife Jill of Annandale, VA; and grandchildren, Emma Vass, Lucy Vass, and Lucas Vass.

Funeral Services will be on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at Wayside Church with Pastor James Wentz officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening, Jan. 25, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg from 5 until 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.
