Tired of being stuck indoors because of the cold, winter weather? Nothing to do? Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley is gearing up for the 2019 Spring Session of Adventures in Learning!
Classes are held on Thursdays and will begin on Mar. 7 and running through Apr. 11. We will be meeting at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church in Lewisburg, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.
We will be having all time favorites such as Current Events moderated by Cleve Benedict, Creative Writing led by Willa Izzo, and Book Group and Appalachian Lore with John Wyatt. This session we are offering some new classes such as French Language & Culture, Technology Talk, Calligraphy or The Joy of Mediterranean Cooking. There are classes for everyone! Come exercise your brain and learn something new. Speaking of exercise, our Tai Chi class led by Gus Saldana is being offered again this session both on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Do you live in the Meadow River Valley, Western Greenbrier? No problem! We have a separate Adventures in Learning that is held at the First Baptist Church in Rainelle. Classes are held on Tuesdays beginning on Mar. 12 and going through Apr. 16. There is a Bible Study, Baby Boomers class, cooking demonstrations, and a fun Potpourri class! We will be taking several field trips throughout the six-week session. There will be fun for everyone.
This a great way to meet new friends and reconnect with others. Lunches are also served each day. Come join in for a favorite class or come spend the day with us.
