John Clarence Delany, 71, of Williamsburg passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at home.

John was born Feb. 27, 1954, in Seguin, TX. to the late John McCulloch and Josephine Campon Delany.

A true tradesman, John could do just about anything. Over the years, he worked as a truck driver, mechanic, carpenter, and even as an underwater welder. Whether he was fixing an engine or building something from scratch, John took pride in being able to fix things himself. He was known for being straightforward, resourceful, and always quick with a clever remark.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Hollub.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Lewis Delany; daughters, Amanda Martinez and husband Kris of Lewisburg and Sandy Carmichael of Texas; sons, Christopher Delany and wife Sarah of Renick, Adam Delany of Lewisburg and John Delany of Texas; grandchildren, Ellyona, Tristen Sawyer, Ashton and Austin; sisters, Dixie Henze of Seguin, TX, and Carol Dee of Seguin, TX; brother, Daniel Delany of Seguin, TX.

There will be no service.
