Taste of Our Towns (TOOT) isn’t just a feast for food lovers – it’s a wonderland for families! On Saturday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Carnegie Hall invites children and their grown-ups to explore the TOOT Kids’ Zone, a vibrant hub of hands-on fun, imagination, and community art, proudly sponsored by Valley Pediatric Dentistry.

Featured Activities:

  • Mounted Blessing Pony Rides – Meet Comet, Hamlet, and Shadow for gentle rides and big smiles
  • Inflatable Obstacle Course – Bounce, climb, and race through a kid-sized adventure from Jeremiah Whitlow and WV Inflatables
  • Live Marionette Theatre – Enjoy whimsical performances by Linda Zimmer and Friends
  • Temporary Kids Tattoo Tent – Pick a playful design and wear it with pride
  • Try an Instrument Tent – Discover the joy of music with hands-on instruments
  • Autumn Harvest Needle Felting Tent – Create cozy fall-themed crafts with wool and imagination

Community Art Project: My Appalachia: A Diversity Quilt

Located in the green space, this interactive art station invites everyone – kids and adults alike – to design a quilt square that reflects their Appalachian experience. Each square will be stitched together into a stunning community quilt, celebrating the richness and diversity of our region.

“We are all part of a greater whole, and united, we are stronger.”

The Kids’ Zone is free and open to all, offering a joyful space where creativity and play take center stage. Whether your child is a budding artist, a curious musician, or just loves ponies, there’s something magical waiting for them.

2025 TOOT Sponsors include Greenbrier Valley Pediatric Dentistry (Kids’ Zone) and the American Beer Company (Beer & Cider Garden). Sponsorships are still available. Contact Development Director Sally Bray at TOOT@carnegiehallwv.org for more information.
