James “Alan” McClintic peacefully passed away on Mar. 7, 2025 at the age of 87. Born on Sept. 20, 1937 in Unus, WV, Alan was a veteran of the United States Army, teacher, coach, farmer, and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bunyan and Aena McClintic; siblings, Patrick McClintic, Joan Anderson, and Wayne McClintic; and brother-in-law, Bill Reynolds.
Left to cherish Alan’s memory are his wife, Dora McClintic; children, Natalie (Jay) Morgan, Ruta (Al) Lierman, Clifton McClintic, Kevin McClintic, Aleacha (Stephen) Wallington, and Edgar (Kendra) McClintic; his 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Levi (Ramona) McClintic, Doris Gay Reynolds, Bedford (Patricia) McClintic, Bob (Jane) McClintic, and Jerry (Sara) McClintic; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Ann McClintic and Tommy McClintic; brother-in-law Dave Anderson; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
