As of 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, the polls closed for the Primary Election. Later that same evening, the Greenbrier County Courthouse released the unofficial results of the election, and reported a voter turnout of 33.23 percent overall.
County-level positions including Board of Education members and the Conservation District Supervisor were determined by the primary election, along with judicial candidates including the WV Supreme Court of Appeals, the WV Intermediate Court of Appeals, circuit court judges, family court judges, and magistrate judges. Other positions on the ballot secured their nominations for the main election in November.

Tammy Shifflett Tincher (winner): 2,416 votes (53.10%)
Robert (Bobby) Ford: 2,134 votes (46.90%)
Prosecuting Attorney:
Nicole Graybeal (uncontested): 3,571 votes
Greenbrier County Sheriff:
Bart Baker (winner): 3,115 votes (66.89%)
Charles (Doug) Beard: 1,247 votes (26.78%)
Mark Alan Robinson: 295 votes (6.33%)
