Carnegie Hall’s three rotating galleries feature new artists for March and April in the Old Stone Room (ground floor), Lobby Gallery (Hamilton Auditorium), and Museum Gallery (adjacent to the Auditorium).

Michelle Kelly’s “Dream Art” will be featured in the Lobby Gallery. Michelle Kelly, an Asheville-based artist, has been a lifelong creative. She has been a photographer, sculpture, jewelry designer, potter, writer, and most recently a mixed media painter. Michelle’s most recent project involves partnering with visionaries to turn their desires into tangible works of art.

Arts Network pieces

Michelle’s most recent project involves partnering with visionaries to turn their desires into tangible works of art. She does this through collaborating with clients to visualize and bring their evolution into reality through commissioned art masterpieces.

Born in 1976 in Las Animas, Colorado, Michelle has spent the majority of her adult life in the Appalachian Mountains, nurturing and raising her three children. She holds a master’s degree in fine art photography and art therapy. As an educator, she has facilitated numerous workshops and retreats. Over the past 20 years, her art has been showcased in a variety of galleries and solo exhibitions, each piece a testament to her ever-unfolding artistic journey.

The Old Stone Room Gallery features an exhibit by the Fiber Arts Network. The Old Stone Room is located on the ground floor of Carnegie Hall. The exhibit runs through the end of April. There will be opening receptions at 5 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 5.

The FAN (Fiber Arts Network) of Lewisburg is a group for all fiber enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge and techniques in the textile arts.

The members meet on the second Thursday of each month at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg to share in their experiences and discuss new and exciting things in the fiber arts community.

The exhibits are free and open to the public, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please visit carnegiehallwv.org, call 304-645-7917, or stop by the Hall at 611 Church Street, Lewisburg.

Carnegie Hall programs are presented with financial assistance through a grant from the WV Department of Arts, Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the WV Commission on the Arts.
