Alderson-Raymond Allen Geiger, 50, passed away Monday. Nov. 3, 2014.
He was born Aug. 11, 1964, in Columbus, OH, a son of Lynn Geiger Boggs of Ronceverte and the late Tom Geiger.
Raymond was a 1987 graduate of WVU and was a former medical technologist at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
In spite of issues with his heart, Raymond accomplished all he wanted to do as an adventurer. He went scuba diving in the Panama Canal. kayaking, sky diving, went on an Alaskan cruise, and went to the Grand Canyon. He loved the outdoors, was a master gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a talented musician who dearly loved his high school band family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Geiger in 1982 and a nephew, Thommy Geiger,
Those left to cherish his memory include: his mother, Lynn Geiger Boggs of Ronceverte; three sisters, Deborah Geiger of Summersville, Margie Geiger and Dee Geiger Richmond, both of Meadow Bridge; brother, Thomas Geiger of Maysel; a niece and nephews he dearly loved, Courtney Richmond of Meadow Bridge, Kyle Geiger of Summersville, Travis Richmond of Meadow Bridge and Jeremy Geiger of Maysel; and great-niece and great-nephews, Keri, Isaac and Aiden.
A service celebrating his life was held on Sunday, Nov. 8 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, where Rev. Chris Thompson officiated.
Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home before the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
