On Saturday, Sept. 9, the recently formed Greenbrier Pregnancy Center had a yard sale to raise funds for this developing organization in Greenbrier County and the surrounding areas. A number of volunteers from local area churches organized the sale items in the Fellowship Hall of the Fairlea Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) Church on 219 South, which is located across the road from the livestock entrance to the West Virginia Fair grounds.
The Greenbrier Pregnancy Center intends to become a place of love, encouragement, information and care for women experiencing crisis pregnancy. Services offered will be free.
The future location of the Greenbrier Pregnancy Center is not yet finalized, but local options are under consideration. At its location, there will be, at a minimum, administrative and counseling offices and classrooms. Eventually, we hope even to have housing.
Pastors and congregants from like-minded churches are invited and encouraged to become involved in the effort to help and sustain this ministry.
