Progressive CEOS (Community Educational Outreach Service) held their September 12th meeting at the WVU Extension Office in Fairlea. President Patty Gray opened the meeting with references to the miracle of seeds and the resulting abundance of the gardening season.
Lynn Humphreys presented an important informative program on keeping personal, financial, and legal documents in a safe place and letting family members know their location. No one wants to consider end of life affairs, but it is a conversation you and your loved ones must have. A binder or file containing the information will be helpful when it comes time to manage last wishes. Some of the categories are real estate deeds, vehicle titles, taxes, burial service preferences, pets and their care, insurance policies and banking information. Preparing this now will be a good start, but remember to update the information as needed.
The Health Motivator topic was Pumpkin—More than Dessert. October and November health motivator lessons will be given by Lynn Humphreys and Betty Jo McNeel.
Five members signed up to attend Leadership Day at the Clingman Center in Lewisburg on September 27th . Planning for the 2024 year will be at the WVU Extension Office on October 19 at 10:00 a.m.
