Ronceverte – Nancy Lynn Church, 92, peacefully passed Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at Peyton Hospice House.
Nancy was born May 15, 1931 in Covington, VA, the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Patty) Jordan Snead.
Nancy had worked at Shenandoah Manor in Ronceverte and with the Bendix Corporation.
Other than her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Willard Church and 6 siblings.
Survivors include daughters, Loretta Sue Couch and husband Lou from Fairmont and Alice Diane Hobson of Bedford, VA; sons, Steven Lee Church and wife Kathy of Bear Creek, NC, Rodger Elliott Church of Union, David Willard Church of Alexandria, VA, and Ralph Allen Church of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeremy, Stacey, Kristina, Scott and Allison; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mickie Rhodenizer and husband Bo of Roanoke, VA, and Betty Fitzgerald of Covington, VA; brother, Ralph Snead and wife Patsy of Covington, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy’s wishes were to be cremated.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
