AHMH’s November schedule

Tuesday night Jam Sessions at the American Heritage Music Hall (AHMH) at Island Park, 315 Monroe Avenue, Ronceverte, are set for Nov. 11, 18 and 25 from 7 to 10/10:30 p.m. Doors open at 6, music starts at 7 p.m. Admission: Tuesdays $7 each; dance night $10 each. Saturday Night Dance on Nov. 28 will feature High Country. Admission includes food, coffee and soft drinks brought in by the audience and donated to the music hall to share with everyone. (Bring your favorite snack to share.) (Note: AHMH DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY FOOD OR DRINKS). A family type atmosphere with no alcohol and no smoking, the Music Hall is handicap accessible, and a nonprofit organization, 501(c)3, located at Island Park, Ronceverte. Dollar Bag Sale

The Williamsburg Thrift Shop, WIlliamsburg, will hold a month long dollar bag sale – everything that can be put in a grocery bag for $1. The sale will run the entire month of November. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The last day will be Nov. 29 when it will close for the winter. The shop is located in the Willliamsburg Community School Building. Lewisburg City Hall

will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans’ Day. Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste will operate on their normal schedule, picking up regular trash Monday through Friday.

White Sulphur Springs Public Library

will be closed on Veterans’ Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Mountain Transit Authority

will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans’ Day. Regular operations will resume Wednesday, Nov. 12. mta will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28, for Thanksgiving. Regular operations will resume Monday, Dec. 1. Schedule information may be obtained by calling 304-872-5872.

Greenbrier Valley Theatre’s Board of Trustees

will host their Annual Meeting, Nov. 18, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

Public Community Meeting

Please join us for a public community meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at the Lindside United Methodist Church, Lindside. At the meeting, Greenbrier River Watershed Association Education and Outreach Coordinator, Elise Keaton, will present up-to-date pipeline information. Lawyers from Appalachian Mountain Advocates will discuss landowner rights and answer questions from concerned community members. Call 304-647-4792 for more information.

Hunter Education classes

Sgt. Bob Johnson announces that hunter education classes will be held in Greenbrier County on Nov. 17, 18 and 19 from 6-9:30 p.m. each evening at the Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department. Attendees must pre-register, attend all three evenings and bring the last four numbers of their Social Security number. Class is limited to 35 students. Call Pat at 304-256-6945 to register.
