Ronceverte-Leonard D. Sizemore, 90, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Leonard was born on Mother’s Day May 14, 1933 in Covington, VA, the son of the late Herbert and Clara Hoke Sizemore.
In 1972, Leonard started Cherokee Termite and Pest Control Service. He was a member of the Lewisburg Rotary club and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Other than his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by brothers, Leo (Virginia) Woodward Sizemore and Ivan (Louise) Lassiter Sizemore.
Survivors include his sister, Juanita(Sissy) Matney, of Atlanta, GA; wife, Nancy J. McClung Sizemore of Ronceverte; daughter, Tonya (Ronald) R. Lambert of Mooresville, NC; sons, Van (Rose Marie Schneider) L. Sizemore of White Sulphur Springs, Jan (Justin) W. Sizemore of Roanoke, VA, and Alexander (Jenny) Leonard Sizemore of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Jared Sibert (Mary Wyrick) of Mooresville, NC, Zane Lambert of Mooresville NC, Brandon (Heather Day) Lambert of Mooresville, NC, and Summer Tucker and Andrew Tucker both of Ronceverte; great-granddaughter, Annabelle Lee of Mooresville, NC.
A gathering of Leonard’s friends was held on Wednesday evening, July 5, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
A memorial service will be held for his friends and family at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Covington, VA.
