Leader B. Sagin reported that our community sponsor will once again be helping with market lambs and the lambs are expected to arrive in late April. There are also plans to get the cover on the high tunnel by the end of April.
Club members E. Jones and J. Goodwin presented the educational program titled “Aerodynamics, and the Paper Airplane.” A video discussing the forces of flight and advantages of different flight frame styles was viewed. Members were then given the opportunity to inspect gliders and darts made by the presenters. Other club members were then given the opportunity to predict which would fly the farthest. After the demonstration the members engaged in a team building activity and friendly competition to see who could make a flight frame that would fly the greatest distance and who could make one that would make a right-hand turn. Prior to adjourning the meeting plans were made to fly kites at the next meeting in continuing the theme of learning about aerodynamics.
