Margaret Ruth Fogus Critzer
Lewisburg-Margaret Ruth Fogus Critzer, 93, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Born Dec. 29, 1928, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar and Byrda Frances Ridgeway Fogus.
Margaret was a member of the Edgewood Presbyterian Church. She had retired from ABB. Margaret loved children and was at her happiest when they were around.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Luther Critzer, Sr.; sons, Charles “Chick” Critzer and Michael Lee Critzer; siblings, Marylee Grimmett, Brownie Shafer, Helen Napier, Phyllis Wilson, Jean Sofil, Harry and Clarence “Buck” Fogus.
Survivors include her children, Cecil Critzer, Jr. (Cathy) of Blacksburg, VA, John Critzer (Donna) of Alderson, Lynda Landon of Georgia, and Carolyn Gilbert (Les Kesterson) of Franklin, WV; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Rosewood Cemetery. Visitation was prior to the service, Thursday, at the funeral home.
