White Sulphur Springs-Zella Leah Wade, 87, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Autumn Way Assisted Living, Rupert, WV.
Born Dec. 13, 1934, in White Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Thomas and Myrtle Marie Medeins Campbell.
Zella was a homemaker and a member of the Wild Meadow Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas C. Wade; sister, Mary Gallagher (Andy); brother, Paul Campbell (Georgia); and an adopted son, Terry Ellis.
Survivors include her loving husband, Carl E. Wade; daughter-in-law, Patricia Wade of Glasgow, WV; brother, Gerald Campbell (Phyllis) of White Sulphur Springs; adopted daughter, Ruth Pierson of Caldwell, OH; grandchildren, Christopher Wade of Charleston, WV, Carla Clark of White Sulphur Springs, and an adopted grandson, Josh Coats of White Sulphur Springs; great-granddaughter, Sierra Clark of White Sulphur Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Wild Meadow Baptist Church, White Sulphur Springs, where Pastor Lowell O’Dell and Pastor Donald Fury officiated. Burial followed in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
Visitation was at the church one hour prior to the service.
