White Sulphur Springs-John “Joey” Joseph Feury, 47, died Thursday, July 17, 2014.
Born Dec. 29, 1966, in Covington, VA, he was a son of John Ray and Diana Dale Blackburn of White Sulphur Springs.
He was of the Methodist faith and was a 1985 graduate of Greenbrier East High School. Joey worked at the Paper Mill in Covington, VA, and loved to hunt, fish and be with his son during his free time.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gladys Blackburn.
Other than his parents, he is survived by: his wife, Lisa Sulser Feury and son, Matthew Joseph Feury of White Sulphur Springs; uncles, Victor Feury (Carol) of Alleghany, VA, Dave Blackburn of Callaghan, VA, and Bill Blackburn (Tammy) of Stuarts Draft, VA; aunts, Shirley Adkins (James) of White Sulphur Springs and Emma Cluck of White Sulphur Springs; grandmother-in-law, Martha Sulser; other in-laws, Gregory Sulser (Wanda) of South Carolina and Michael Sulser (Sanita) also of South Carolina; and two nephews, Jamie and Charlie. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, especially his special friends, Ed and Myrna May of White Sulphur Springs.
His graveside service was conducted Monday, July 21 at Mapledale Cemetery, Rt. 92, White Sulphur Springs, where Rev. Bobby McClintic and Rev. Buck Caldwell officiated.
