The Rainelle Public Library features work from local artists, and April through June two Greenbrier Artists are exhibiting their original art and prints. Cela Allison from Hillsboro and Marietta Lyall of Lewisburg will exhibit through the end of June.
Please stop by the library, and check out their colorful works. Marietta enjoys painting old toys, antiques and animals – especially dogs and horses. Cela has included many special local landmarks and landscapes.
Also, if you are interested in painting with a group, the Greenbrier Artists meet regularly at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg each Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. to paint and learn new techniques. A special summer “painting only” session begins in June. Membership is open to all at a very reasonable cost.
Also, don’t forget to visit the Greenbrier Artists Annual Art Show in the Old Stone Room at Carnegie Hall which will also exhibit through June. This year’s theme is “Celebrate Color.”
