Entrepreneurs with a need for seed funding to see their business needs met can apply for the June 10 Greenbrier Valley Entrepreneur Café sponsored by BB&T at www.gvecafe.com. “Our mission at BB&T is to provide banking services to help people in the Greenbrier Valley reach their financial goals for a sound financial future. We are pleased to support this effort to encourage innovative entrepreneurs to help their ideas become reality and grow the local economy,” stated Debby Sizemore, BB&T senior vice president.
The Greenbrier Valley Entreprenuer Café is organized by a partnership of the Greenbrier Valley Economic Development, New River Community and Technical College and the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce. The June 10 event to be moderated by a BB&T executive will be held at Greenbrier County Public Library at 5:30 p.m. Applicants develop a 5-minute pitch detailing their business and needs for seed funding. A 3-minute question and answer period follows. The seed funding is increased by crowd-funding provided by attendees paying $10. Then attendees become the “sharks” as they complete a point system ballot to determine the winner. Sam’s Club has been a staunch supporter of the Entrepreneur Café and will provide a delicious supper for crowd-funders. To apply, please click on the Participation tab at www.gvecafe.com.
