Lewisburg – Mona H. Clark, 79, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at her home after an extended illness.
Born Jan. 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Mark Henry and Arzella Gold “Goldie” Fultz Hanna.
Mona worked at The General Lewis Inn for over a decade as a front desk clerk as well as being a homemaker; however, her passion was enjoying time with family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Mona was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, and niece. She took care of more children than her own, and she loved her family unconditionally. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Dorsey L. Clark; son, Jeff Clark; granddaughter, Emilee Clark; grandson, Ezekiel Jacob Hurley; sisters, Marie Chattin and Ruth Ray; and brother, Donald “Bug” Hanna.
Survivors include daughters, Marie Sizemore (Junior) of Ronceverte, Barbara Hall (Dan) of Lewisburg, and Denise Sizemore (Steve) of Lewisburg; sons, Tony Clark (Cathy) of Lewisburg and John Clark (Sherry) of Lewisburg; special niece, Joy Hall (Jimmy); her best friend, Phyllis Johnson of Lewisburg; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren, Tanya, Crystal, Tiffany, Lisa, Joey, Chris, Cody, and Bobby; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Saturday, June 6, at Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, where Pastor Ron Miller officiated. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Steve Sizemore, Junior Sizemore, Chris Burns, Daniel Hazelwood, Bobby Hall, and Michael Zimmerman served as pallbearers.
Burial followed in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
