After months of anticipation, Ollie’s officially opened for business in Ronceverte at the old Magic Mart location in the Red Oaks Shopping Center. The line was long this morning to get in as the doors opened, stretching down the front of the strip mall nearly to the end of the building.
“Ollie’s is one of America’s largest retailers of closeouts and excess inventory, offering real brands at real bargain prices,” states a press release issued by the company. “Famous for its signature catch-phrase Good Stuff Cheap, Ollie’s has a huge variety of famous brand-name merchandise in every department – food, books, housewares, toys, electronics, domestics, clothing, furniture, health and beauty, flooring, seasonal items and so much more – at up to 70 percent off the fancy stores’ prices.”
The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day except for Sundays, where they are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“During these uncertain times, you can count on Ollie’s for essentials like food, cleaning supplies, personal care items, hardware, automotive and other essentials in a wide variety of name brands at up to 70% off the fancy stores’ prices,” said John Swygert, President and CEO of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. “Ronceverte will be our 6th store in the great state of West Virginia.”
Ollie’s brings about 50-60 new jobs to the local community with each new store it opens, ranging from cashiers to assistant managers.
