White Sulphur Springs-Forest “Cue Ball” Thomas Foster, 88, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg.
Born Aug. 22, 1931 in White Sulphur Springs, he was the son of the late Forest Everett and Katie Stella Sawyer Foster.
Forest was a U.S. Army, Korean War Veteran. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the NALC Postal Service Union. He was retired from the USPS as a Mail Carrier.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Betty Sue Scott Foster; grandson, Phoenix Sauceda; daughter, Teresa Clark; son-in-law, Tony Clark; stepson, Timmy Scott; brother, Julian Foster; and sisters, Maxine Carmoney and Dorothy Wilson.
He is survived by daughter, Tracy Foster (Lee Sauceda) of Centreville, VA; son, Tom Foster (Bonita) of White Sulphur Springs; sisters, Betty Ann Snellings of Lexington, KY, Ina Llewellyn (Tom) of Gross Ile, MI and Jan Asay of Springville, UT; grandchildren, Tony and Travis Clark, Todd White, Justin and Ryan Foster; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Lee (Tom), Doug Fullen, Anna (Frank) Defibaugh, Freda Casto and Tommy Scott (Frances); and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the regulations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, and out of love and respect for extended family and friends, a graveside service was held on Monday, May 4, at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging – Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 556, Rupert, WV 25984.
