The Greenbrier County Board of Education recognized Beth Stidom as Greenbrier County’s Pre-K Teacher of the Year during the Mar. 11 board meeting. Stidom, a Pre-K teacher at Frankford Elementary School, began her career as a preschool teacher in 2009.
“It is inspiring and heartwarming to be in Beth Stidom’s classroom for even a few minutes. It reinforces what we all know: preschool teachers, particularly Beth, make a critical and lasting impact on their students. Beth stands out because of her dedication to her students and the innovative measures she uses to ensure our youngest children receive a strong start to their school careers. Her students know that she loves them and that they love school and that they can be successful in school. She instills a love of learning that we hope will last a lifetime. She is truly a success story and the epitome of the head start program. She is a former head start parent and a former head start aide,” stated Nancy Hanna, director of Early Childhood Education for Greenbrier County Schools (left).
