The New River Community and Technical College Office of Workforce Education will offer a four-session series of workshops entitled “Finding a Job is a Job.” The sessions will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Mar. 26 and 27 and Apr. 1 and 3 in Lewisburg.
Instructor Janice Cooley, a principle and coach with LifeSkills2Work, will cover the topics Branding Me, Writing a Winning Resume, Professional Interviewing Skills, and Networking Social and Personal.
During the final workshop, local employers will review with the workshop participants what they look for in new employees.
Janice Cooley is the chief consultant for Cooleyhill Consulting Inc., which she established to support organizations with strategic workforce planning and business development solutions. In addition, she is a principle and coach with the Life Skills2Work Corporation formed to support individuals and groups with developing job search skills, techniques and strategies through workshops, seminars and individual counseling.
