White Sulphur Springs-Phyllis Marie Dowdy Miller, 61, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at the Peyton Hospice House following an extended battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 27, 1958, at Union, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Richmond and Marie Belle Boggs Dowdy.
Phyllis was employed at Greenbrier Technical Services in Ronceverte and attended Bethesda Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Eric Lee Taylor.
Survivors include her loving husband of 26 years, Danny Miller; stepson, Daniel Todd Miller of Covington, VA; brothers, Lewis Richmond Dowdy (Connie) of Hopewell, VA and Jeff Dowdy (Michele) of Ronceverte; sisters, Donna Dowdy Trent (Buddy) of Ronceverte and Gail Evans of Gap Mills; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service was on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel where Pastor Gary Baker officiated. Burial was in the Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Organ Cave.
Visitation was Wednesday evening, Dec. 11, at the funeral home.
