White Sulphur Springs-Lee Walker Doggett, 78, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA.
Born Feb. 2, 1940, at Ronceverte, he was a son of the late Burton Willard and Mary Nickell Doggett.
Lee attended Concord College and Emmanuel United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs, retired from The Greenbrier Hotel after 41 years of service, was a member of Alleghany Masonic Lodge #136, where he was a Master Mason and the Ronceverte Chapter #21 Royal Arch Masons.
Lee loved and was loved by his family, loved to golf, but greatly enjoyed watching his grandsons playing in various sports.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Doggett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Louise Clinebell Doggett; daughter, Sherri Camp and husband Robert of White Sulphur Springs; grandsons, Joshua Robert Camp and Justin Lee Camp; niece, Sandra Doggett White of White Sulphur Springs, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Agnes Surbaugh.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, with Pastor Shari Stilgenbauer and Pastor Joe Geiger officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the church on Saturday.
