White Sulphur Springs-Helen Marie Knighton, 79, formerly of Low Moor, VA, went home to be with the Lord at the White Sulphur Springs Center on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019.
Born Oct. 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Frances Campbell.
Helen was a member of United Baptist Church, Covington, VA and attended Wild Meadow Baptist Church, White Sulphur Springs. Helen was retired from Kmart after 20 years of service.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Knighton of Low Moor, VA; two brothers, Joseph Campbell and Lonnie Campbell; and a nephew, Justin Baker.
Surviving are four sisters, Sarah Louise Clonche, JoAnn Baker both of White Sulphur Springs, Geneva Thomas of Fayetteville and Ella Mae Graham and husband Donald of Covington, VA; nephews, Billy Joe Clonche, Donnie Graham, Delmas Graham and Michael Baker; two great-nephews, Chase Graham and Jacob Graham; and her beloved cat, Jack.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Wild Meadow Baptist Church, Rt. 92, White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Roger “Wahoo” McDaniel and Rev. Gary Tingler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Clonche, Donnie Graham, Delmas Graham, Michael Baker, Chase Graham and Robert Reynolds.
