Ronceverte-Lucille (Jones) Freeman, 90, passed away at the Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018.
She was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Ronceverte, the daughter of the late Matthew B. and Pearl Evelyn Massie Jones.
Mrs. Freeman was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte and a retired Audit Clerk with the Greenbrier County Health Department.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Freeman; sisters, Christine Madaraz and Loretta Hedrick; and a brother, Albert Jones who was killed in action during World War II.
Surviving Mrs. Freeman are her daughter, Judy Kirk and husband Bill of Claudville, VA; son, Steven Freeman Sr. and wife Alice of Harpers Ferry; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kirk, Darin Kirk, Renes Gluck (Crystal), Steven Freeman Jr. and Joshua Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Will Easter, Leandra Gluck and Penelope Gluck.
Funeral services for Mrs. Freeman were held Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg where Pastor David Stilgenbaur officiated. Interment followed in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
The family receive their friends Thursday at the funeral home before the service.
