At the regular City Council meeting in Alderson on Sept. 13, Delegate George “Boogie” Ambler presented Mayor Travis Copenhaver with the necessary paperwork to apply for a Governor’s Community Partnership Grant.

This grant will result in $10,000 to the town to be applied toward the purchase of a new service truck.

Earlier in the evening, a public hearing was held to discuss the USDA application for additional funds for the service truck.

Mayor Travis Copenhaver said, “Delegate Ambler understands the plight of small West Virginia towns as they try to keep up with the demand for services and fund improvements. We appreciate all he has done for us over the years.”

Delegate Ambler said, “Working on your behalf is what I was elected to do. I am pleased to have been successful many times during my service in the Legislature so far.”
