Lewisburg-George Francis Keddie, born in Stockton, California, to Lovilia Powell and George Keddie, Sr., passed away at age 97 on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, in Lewisburg.
He worked as a civil engineer for the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works until his retirement in 1976. George was the loving husband of Pearl Dorsett Keddie of Lewisburg.
He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Suzanne Keddie Stratmann; brother, Dr. Noble Dan Keddie; and grandchildren, Alex Stratmann and Chris Stratmann.
He loved boating and spent many hours with the sea scouts in Stockton reaching Sea Eagle Scout status. After his retirement he became a master woodworker and a devoted grandfather.
A memorial service was held at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, on Thursday evening, Sept. 13. Pastor Ike Hughes officiated the service.
