White Sulphur Springs – Deborah Louise Childress Johnson, 72, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Deborah was born July 27, 1946, to the late Owens F. Childress, Sr. and Mary L. Childress in White Sulphur Springs.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry M. Childress, and Owens “Spanky” F. Childress, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Stephen Miller, Dawn Miller Paris, Mark Miller, and Tia Carter; sister, Phyllis Davis; brother, Richard Childress; grandchildren, Maurice Miller, Curt Miller, Marquia Miller, Stephen Miller, Jr., Torian J. Miller, Sydnee Miller, Isaiah Miller, and Mary Carter; five greatgrandchildren; and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Saint James Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m. with Rev. Greg Scott officiating. Private Burial will be held in Greenhill Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs.
