The congregation of Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene in Fairlea invites the public to a number of special events being offered at the church this Sunday morning and evening, Aug. 5.
The morning worship service, which begins at 10:30 a.m., will include the celebration of holy communion. The denomination’s churches observe the Lord’s Supper several times throughout the year, and all who profess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are invited to take part.
Also during the morning service will be the installation of officers for the 2018-2019 church year. Officers were recently elected from among the church membership for a variety of leadership positions throughout the church.
James and Beth Baker will be guest speakers in the evening worship service, which beings at 6 p.m. The Bakers are workers and missionaries with Ethnos 360, an evangelical mission organization with 3,300 missionaries serving in approximately 20 countries throughout the world. An offering will be received for the Bakers during the service.
