Angela Meade in the title role of Rossini’s Semiramide
Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT), in partnership with the Met: Live in HD, is proud to present Gioachino Rossini’s Semiramide.
The ancient Babylonian tale will stream live on Saturday, Mar. 10, at 12:55 p.m. and will last approximately three hours and 29 minutes with one intermission. Dr. James Caplinger, from the University of Charleston, will give a complimentary lecture beginning at 12:15 p.m.

Elizabeth DeShong as Arsace in Rossini’s Semiramide
Angela Meade stars as the bloodthirsty title character alongside Elizabeth DeShong in the trouser role of Arsace. Onstage with them is Ildar Abdrazaka as Semiramide’s lost son Assur and the production will be conducted by Maurizio Benini.
