White Sulphur Springs-Shirley S. Freeman, 81, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at her residence after a long illness.
Shirley was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs and did a lot of baby-sitting at The Greenbrier. Her greatest love was being a homemaker and raising her four sons. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Freeman on Sept. 20, 2013, and a son; Frank David Freeman.
Survivors include: four sons, George (Germaine) of Charleston, Carl (Sharon) of White Sulphur Springs, Joe (Katy) of Radford, VA, and John of White Sulphur Springs; granddaughter, Carrie (Noel) and three great-grandchildren, Ruby, Josiah and Tripp.
Shirley’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.
