White Sulphur Springs-Edward Lee Pilkenton, 76, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, following a long illness.
Mr. Pilkenton was a retired truck driver and bus driver. He was also a US Army Veteran. He loved to take his three grandgirls everywhere and spoiled them rotten. They love their grandpa and he will be sadly missed by his babies as he sometimes called them.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Joyce Lea Pilkenton in 1975 and his parents, Howard and Mary Pilkenton of Lyons, NY.
Those left to cherish his beloved memory include: his wife at home, Rita Pilkenton; two daughters, Brenda Wickline (Mark) of White Sulphur Springs and Mary Pilkenton (John Cook fiancée) of Gap Mills; three beautiful granddaughters that he adored so much, his “Peanut” Melanie Anne Wickline, his “Sarebear” Sarah Paige Wickline and his “Doodle Bug” Emalee Joyce Wickline.
There will be a private family service at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Donald Trent officiating.
There will be no visitation.
