Two presentations concerning small business owners and operators will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Room 502, McCarthy Hall, on the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College campus in Clifton Forge, VA. The presentations are live video conferences airing from Virginia Highlands Community College.
The first is a discussion of the Small Business Administration’s Certification Programs. “Small Business Programs: What Do They Mean for Me?” is scheduled from 9 to 10 a.m. The speaker is John D. Veal, Lead Business Opportunity Specialist with the SBA.
The second will be a panel discussion, “The Affordable Care Act: Understanding What It Means,” from 10:30 a.m. to noon, featuring Jayne Armstrong, Virginia District Director for the SBA, and Catherine Poole, representing Aflac, the insurance company.
The video conferences are being made possible by the Procurement Technical Assistance center at Southwest Virginia Community College.
