On Friday, Dec. 2, members of the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested three individuals on drug charges.
According to Bruce Sloan of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, at 8:57 a.m., task force members and the Greenbrier County SWAT team executed a search warrant on the residence of Joshua Adam Smith and Jessica Nicole Honaker located at 179 Battle Hill Drive in Lewisburg.
The search warrant was obtained by the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force after a several month long investigation where a total of seven controlled Oxymorphone (Opana) buys were conducted from three different subjects inside the residence.
During the search of the residence, officers located 68 Oxymorphone 40 milligram tablets with a street value of approximately $9,520; eight Oxymorphone 20 milligram tablets with a street value of approximately $800; a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol with an obliterated serial number, numerous cell phones and $1,835 in U.S. currency.
As a result of the search warrant, three subjects were arrested on state charges for drug related crimes. Smith, 35, was charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-Oxymorphone. Smith was arraigned by Greenbrier County Magistrate J.W. Childers and was given a $10,000 bond which he was unable to post and is currently incarcerated at the Southern Regional Jail.
Honaker, 25, was charged one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-Oxymorphone. Honaker was arraigned by Childers and was given a $10,000 bond which was posted, and she was released from custody.
The third individual arrested was Tremaine Dean Pool, Jr., 21, of Romulus (a suburb of Detroit),Wayne County, MI. Pool was charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-Qxymorphone. Pool was arraigned by Childers and was given a $10,000 bond which he was unable to post and is currently incarcerated at the Southern Regional Jail.
Additional charges are expected on these individuals as well as numerous other individuals in relation to this investigation, Sloan said.
