A consumer representative from the Attorney General’s Office will hold public events during November throughout central and southeastern West Virginia. The office representative will educate consumers on the latest scams in their area, provide tips on how to guard their personal information and answer questions about consumer protection settlements.
Justin Arvon, a consumer outreach and compliance specialist with the office, will host the events, which are scheduled below:
• Nov. 8: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mobile Office Hours at Marlinton City Hall, 709 2nd Avenue, Marlinton
• Nov. 15: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Mobile Office Hours at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 W. Washington Street, Lewisburg
• Nov. 23: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Mobile Office Hours at Rainelle City Hall, 201 Kanawha Avenue, Rainelle
“Having these events allows consumers to ask questions and talk face-to-face with our office with any concerns they may have,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “It’s a great way for consumers to learn how to protect their personal information and about additional issues that may be affecting their area.”
The events are open to the public; reservations are not required. For information, contact Justin Arvon at 304-590-6462.
