State Police seized a “substantial amount” of marijuana from a Rainelle home after someone posted pictures of the pot on Facebook.
Investigators with the West Virginia State Police, the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department searched the house in question, where they found approximately two and a half pounds of marijuana, $1,500 in cash and various prescription drugs. According to a news release, the total street value of the drugs is around $10,000.
As of press time, no arrests have been made, but police say they are investigating at least three people in two homes in connection with the Facebook post and the seized drugs.
