A weekend Basic Rider Motorcycle Safety course, hosted by Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, will be held Friday through Sunday, Aug. 26-28. Participants who complete the three-day course and pass both the written and riding skills tests earn a 30-day Virginia DMV motorcycle license.
The classroom portion of the course is held on Friday night, Aug. 26, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista, VA, and on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27-28, from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. at Lee-Hi Travel Plaza in Lexington. Motorcycles and helmets are provided; in-state tuition for the one-credit course is $149.25.
