Union Rescue Gospel Sing/Auction

Lewisburg City Hall
will be closed Monday, June 20 in observance of West Virginia Day. The City will not pick up recycling Monday; the recycling schedule will be as follows: Monday customers on Tuesday, June 21; Tuesday customers on Wednesday, June 22; Wednesday customers on Thursday, June 23; and Thursday and Friday customers on Friday, June 23. Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste will pick up regular trash on their normal schedule Monday through Friday.
MTA closed Monday
Mountain Transit Authority buses will not operate Monday, June 20, due to driver training. Regular operations will resume Tuesday, June 21. Call 304-872-5872 for schedule information.
Mountain Transit Authority meeting
The Mountain Transit Authority Board of Directors will hold its next regular meeting Wednesday, June 22 at the MTA garage/office facility on Broad Street in Summersville. The meeting will begin with a special meeting at 4 p.m. for employee reviews; regular meeting will begin at 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Schwimmer exhibit at Visitors Center
Shoshanna Schwimmer’s Fabric & More exhibit is on display at the Lewisburg Visitors Center throughout June. Inspired by nature and the joy of colors, Schwimmer uses everything from fabrics, ribbons and beads to feathers and costume jewelry, to satisfy her sense of beauty. Schwimmer’s work can be found at art shows and the GVT auction, and in private collections in the US and Canada. The Visitors Center, 200 W. Washington Street (304-645-1000) is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.

The Greenbrier Valley Circuit Riders is a well-established Chapter that has been going strong and growing for the past 15 years.
