Fort Spring-Lois F. Burns, 86, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Lois was born July 5, 1929, in Mount Vernon (Fort Spring) and was the daughter and last remaining child of the union of the late Jubal Early and Mary Alice Young Arbaugh.
She was of the Methodist faith and retired after 29 years of service with the WV Daily News and Valley Ranger.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Milburn “Dick” Burns; sisters, Mabel Gwinn, Arlene Brown, Betty Stevens and Doris Porterfield; and brother, John Arbaugh.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Fort Spring, with Pastor Stewart Farley officiating. Upon Lois’ request there will be no visitation.
