With the PowerBall reaching an all-time high, West Virginians have been rushing around to see if they can strike it rich. Maybe you didn’t win the 1.5 billion dollar jackpot, but you can still try your hand in winning a prize at the 3rd Annual Greenbrier County 4-H Bingo!
The Bingo, hosted by the Greenbrier County 4-H Leader’s Association, will be held Feb. 6 in the Cecil Underwood Building of the State Fairgrounds of West Virginia. The first of 21 games starts promptly at 4 p.m. Prizes will include various baskets and items from local home demonstrators. From Papered Chef and Tastefully Simple to KEEP and Scentsy, there are prizes for everyone. Keep it for yourself, or gift to that special someone for Valentine’s Day.
Not a big fan of Bingo? Showcase your venison skills at the Venison Cooking Contest that same day, and take advantage of a free Venison 101 class starting at 4 p.m. which teaches you how to take your deer from field to table, step-by-step. Don’t forget to check out the Auction starting at 6 p.m. to place your bid on some of the best items local artisans and businesses have to offer.
Don’t miss this day filled with good wholesome fun for the whole family. For more detail on the Venison Cooking Contest or how to get a ticket for the Bingo, call the Greenbrier County WVU Extension Office at 304-647-7408.
