Everyone is invited to join the “Friends of the Blue” for a fund-raising dinner at the historic Cadle Farm in Grassy Meadows on Sunday, Aug. 23, from 4-7 p.m. There will be good food, entertainment and a silent auction. Tickets for the event are $35 for one ticket or $60 for each pair. Children under 10 are $10 each. Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 17.
The support has been fantastic for Phase II of the restoration of the Blue Sulphur Spring Pavilion. From the 175 donors to the Kickstarter Campaign, to the granting agencies who continue to believe in the project, it is heart-warming to learn time and again how important this historic structure is to so many in our community and beyond.
The “Friends of the Blue” Committee, chaired by Alex McLaughlin, with members Cathy Bolt, Irma Smith Cadle, Skip Deegans, Margaret Hambrick, Ray Tuckwiller, and support from the Greenbrier Historical Society Executive Director Nick LaCasse, continues to make progress. They still need your help and look forward to talking to you during the dinner.
The tickets are available at the Greenbrier Historical Society/North House Museum or from any member of the Committee.
