Earl L. Corbin
Lewisburg-Earl L. Corbin, 87, passed away Thursday, Apr. 30, 2015, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.
Earl was born July 9, 1927, in Lewisburg, the son of the late Hugh and Lottie Huttsenpiller Corbin.
Earl was as a member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men; an Army veteran of World War II and retired from Honeywell Corp. in Dayton, OH.
He was preceded in death by: his sisters, Freda Williams, Alene and husband Eads and Hazel and husband Sherman Bennett; and niece, Sherlene Bennett.
Surviving are: first cousin, Thelma H. Berkley of Lewisburg; nieces and nephews, Gary (Janet) Eades, Ann (Gene) Hoak, Keith Eades, George (Katherine) Eades, Ronald Eades, Carol Dean (James), Kent (Joyce) Bennett, Lou (Kathie) Bennett, Kathie Bennett; Stephen Williams, Barry (Pam) Williams and Vicki Potomo.
Joint services with his sister, Freda Williams, who died Apr. 22, 2015, were held on Saturday May 2, at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church where Pastor Rick Brown officiated. Burial was in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
The family received their friends and family Saturday, May 2, before the services at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, 214 E. Washington Street, I.ewisburg, WV 24901.

Helen Lewis Johnson
Renick-Helen Lewis Johnson, 76, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Helen was born Sept. 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Lambard L. Lewis and Elizabeth J. Boggs.
Helen worked at Jim’s Drive-In, Kellwood, and was a cook for the Greenbrier County Schools. She was also a homemaker during these years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by: brother, Ovid Lewis; sisters, Stella Pittsenbarger, Glenna Boney and Wilma Tharp Alford; niece, Volene Pittesenbarger Miller; and nephew, James Lewis.
Surviving are: her husband, Eddie Johnson; sons, Randy Johnson and wife Lorna of Lewisburg and Ricky Johnson of White Sulphur Springs; daughter, Carolyn Hannigan and husband John of Renick; grandchildren, Nathaniel Johnson and Katie Johnson of White Sulphur Springs and Brianna Hannigan of Renick; nephews, Alan Lewis, Glen Lewis, John Tharp, David Johnson and Scott Johnson; and nieces, Lisa Lewis, Sarah Alford and Teresa Carol Hedrick.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 5, at Morningside Cemetery in Renick, where Pastor Steve Barnette officiated.
Helen requested no flowers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
