Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg is proud to announce its selection by the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation as an inaugural Benedum Foundation Culture Collective grantee. This new statewide initiative supports and strengthens West Virginia’s creative sector by investing in organizations that preserve, celebrate, and advance arts, culture, and heritage across the Mountain State.
The Culture Collective program awarded more than $1.8 million to 64 fairs, festivals, museums, and performing arts organizations, bringing vital funding to communities throughout West Virginia. Carnegie Hall is honored to be among the first cohort of grantees recognized for its commitment to enriching local life through accessible arts programming, education, and cultural engagement.
“Arts, culture, and heritage are not extras; they are essential,” said Carnegie Hall President/CEO Cathy Rennard. “This support from the Benedum Foundation affirms the importance of creative spaces and experiences in building strong, connected, and vibrant communities. We are deeply grateful for this investment in our mission and in the cultural future of West Virginia.”
As one of the state’s longest‑running arts institutions, Carnegie Hall will use this opportunity to continue expanding programs, strengthening partnerships, and fostering creativity for residents and visitors throughout the Greenbrier Valley and beyond.
